WATER
TREATMENT & PURIFICATION

Hardness Minerals, Iron, Odor and Stained tinted water are
all undesirable characteristics of water. You may have some or all of these problems.
Champion has solutions for any water problem, using dependable long-lasting water systems
that have stood up to the test of time. Over the years we have used many dealers and we
have systems in use now that we know will provide years of service.
Residential or Commercial we offer custom designed systems to
meet your individual need, including:
- NEW!
Ask us about the new Iron Sulfur Keepers - A chemical and maintenance free system.
- Water Softeners: Remove minerals that cause
spots on dishes and stains in the tub and shower walls, we add premium white resin inside
the unit to remove the yellow color caused by tannins at no additional charge, many dealers
use this as an ad-on sale after the unit is installed. Units regenerate
automatically with salt from a stand alone brine tank. Regeneration occurs at a preset
time and day. Flow rates available from 9-25 gpm. Metered valves may be added for heavy
water usage.
- Iron Filters: Remove heavy iron
concentrations from drinking water supplies. They use Potassium Permanganate for
regeneration. Most units are regenerated manually once per month, although the units are
available with automatic valves. Iron filters will remove low concentrations of odor and
sometimes are used for this purpose.
- Reverse Osmosis: The highest level of water
treatment. These are point of use, meaning they are installed under the counter in the
kitchen or bathroom and are rated at 25-50 gallons per day. Primarily, they are used for
drinking water, to make coffee or tea, instead of buying bottled water. Pre and post
filters are changed annually and the membranes are replaced about every three years. They
require no regeneration.
- Sediment Filters:
These are in/out cartridges
used solely to capture fine sands, clay or sediment that is pumped from the well. They are
installed before the first piece of water treatment. Remove the canister cover at least
once a month, and wash out the cartridge and canister. After, 3-4 months loss of pressure
may result and the cartridge will need to be replaced.
Commercial Water Treatment is similar to residential,
although the flow rates may be much higher, meaning larger tanks, valves and distributor
tubes. For Public water supplies, the local health department may require liquid
pre-chlorine injection, contact tanks, meters and post chlorination.
