Potable Drinking Water Wells and Sprinkler Water Wells

We install high quality residential water wells every day that will meet the needs of you and your family. These wells typically are either 2” or 4” in diameter, depending on the amount of water you will consume. All of our 2” wells are drilled with the “Casing Driven” method with Cable tool drill rigs. They will have galvanized steel casing and it may be “open ended” or “screened”. Flow rates are usually between 25 and 40 gallons per minute, if the static water table Water3.jpg (56360 bytes)is within 10-15 feet. You may use up to a 1 ½ hp sprinkler pump on these wells.

With open end wells the casing is driven into a rock or consolidated formation, the casing is then cleaned out and open hole is drilled into the rock.. After well development, the well is pumped clean all your water comes from the porous rock formation.

Screened wells are usually installed in areas where no consolidated formation exists. These formations may be different grades of sand or shell, and sometimes combinations of both. Depending on the volume required, we may install between 10 feet and 20 feet of screen. Theses wells are developed with air or by pump surging to remove fine sands from the screen interval. Like the open end wells our 2” screened wells use galvanized casings with PVC screens.

Water.jpg (34245 bytes)If you would like to operate your sprinkler system and your home on only one well and pump, you will need a 4” well to serve both systems. We have a great new package that includes a submersible pump and a constant pressure valve. This system provides 25 gallons per minute at 60 psi. Now you have enough water to use the shower, wash clothes and flush toilets without excessive pressure loss and waiting on the old house pump to build pressure. Even better you get the benefits of a submersible pump, no noise, power efficiency, longevity and it comes with a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY!
